Battle of the Bands 2026
The Three Tuns is launching its 2026 Battle of the Bands, with a grand prize of £1,000 and a session in a professional recording studio to the winning act!

We just bet some of you would really love to throw down your talent on The Three Tuns stage. Moreover, we’re sure 1,000 quid would be lovely too, right?
Therefore, from 7pm each Tuesday starting July 21 we’ll be showcasing a handful of (mostly) local acts, the “best” of which moves to the next round.
How does it work?
The contest is open to bands, duos or solo artists, acoustic or electric, new or established.
Each band gets a 35 minute slot, with a 20 minute changeover in between.
At the end, everyone in attendance gets a token to allocate to their favourite act of the night. Whoever has most tokens progresses to the next round (so be sure to tell your friends!).
